Our new approach to serving partners and sponsors
Since the very beginning in 2013, OFU has always been able to rely on the generous support from a group of a few dedicated community partners and sponsors. The general setup has been as follows:
Community partners receive a discount code to be shared with their members, in return they help promote the event.
Sponsors provide cash or in-kind contributions to help cover the cost of running the event, in return they receive some basic exposure (logo, social media mentions, product demos, etc.)
These collaborations have always been somewhat informal, and managing them (i.e., delivering on our commitments) hasn’t always been as robust as we’d wish.
That’s why this year we will be moving most of our partner and sponsor processes onto our new portal, which is starting to emerge at this website (ofuexchange.net). Each supporting organization will see exactly which benefits they signed up for and be able to keep track as we check off each box.
If you are interested in joining as a community partner or sponsor this year, check out our (draft) prospectuses to see what we have in mind:
Let us know if you find anything missing that would prevent you from coming on board. And please get in touch if you’re ready to sign up.
